As the sun broke out,
somewhere, out there.
From black to red to yellow changed,
above the trees, sky's hue.
Here the sunlight trespassed,
through the thick tree tops.
Making it to the ground,
only through the gaps few.
Under one such gap, I hid,
in the bushes by the pool.
Where lotuses stood atop their leaves,
on the silver water, of this hidden pool.
I stared through the leaves,
at the one in the water.
I had crossed half the forest,
for the desire of whom.
And there she was, in front of me,
bathing in the mid of the pool.
Dipping, emerging her glorious body,
exotic, divine, rare, beautiful.
Green eyes, sharp nose, golden hair,
chin held high, as a royal queen.
Mesmerized, I looked at this divine creature,
what could, I thought, be more wonderful.
When I had seen enough of her,
I finally decided, to do it.
To claim, to take her body as mine,
to take the record of my golden find.
I thought a bit, prepared my mind,
and prepared my weapon of sin.
I crouched some more for a better pose,
took a final breath, a pace behind.
CRACK!!!!!!
My foot fell on a dry twig,
and her alert years didn't miss this.
Her eyes searched, gleaming with suspicion,
she looked around, while I held steady.
An intruder was here, she now knew,
so she wade to the side, from the water emerged.
She kept slowly, every step on the ground,
I got poised for attack, alert and ready.
She got too near, just the bushes between us,
her eyes gleamed at me, she knew I was here.
She froze in silence, water dripped off her,
at her glorious body, I stand unmoved.
UU UUUU UUUUUUUUUUUU!!
The cry of an ape, suddenly shook me,
made my head turn, my eyes off her.
For a fraction of second, I missed her sight,
I turned back, oh God, she wasn't there.
This couldn't be happening, oh God no,
In panic, I stood up turned all around.
Leaves, tree, branches, water, sky,
Oh God, what the hell?? No sign of her.
My breath paced, as had never before,
my heart pounded, so it could no more.
I held my weapon high, aimed and set,
set to fire, my fingers on trigger.
Silence......
I waited, maybe a minute ten,
all of a sudden, it happened then.
She pounced on me, brought me to the ground,
Once over me, she let out a wild growl.
She roared at my face, in seething anger,
looked at me, with her glowing eyes.
This was death I knew, I was taken down,
any moment now, I would be no more.
But I praise lord, for a miracle happened,
she stood up, turned and left me alone.
Her stripes soon vanished in the depth of the jungle,
I lay there petrified, shocked to the core.
